Elon Musk spoke about testing the new Tesla autopilot


The head of Tesla, Elon Musk, said that he practically did not interfere with the test version of the electric car autopilot when traveling between home and place of work. It is reported by the portal Electrek. In July, the founder of Tesla said that the company's specialists are working on a new version of the Autopilot driver support system. He said that the program code of the system will be completely rewritten, and when creating new code, neural network technologies will be widely used. On August 14, the head of Tesla announced that he was already using a test version of the new autopilot in his own car. He compared the transition from the previous system to the new version with a quantum leap. I'm already using the alpha version in my car. When going from home to work, almost zero intervention is required, Musk emphasized. He added that the deployed testing of the new version of autopilot will begin in 6 10 weeks. Musk also added that by the end of 2020, Tesla expects to realize the function of fully autonomous driving. As previously reported by the news agency, in August, the Minister of Economy of the Brandenburg region, Jörg Steinbach, said that a new Tesla plant near Berlin could be built by mid-2021.
