Tower Bridge mechanism in London jammed while trying to lift

The breakdown of the lifting mechanism caused the closure of the Tower Bridge in London for several hours. This was reported on August 23 by The Guardian. The lifting mechanism of the bridge jammed during breeding in the evening to pass ships along the Thames.
