Russia cooperates with India and China, despite the problems between them
Problems in relations between China and India, including the border conflict, do not affect tripartite cooperation between Moscow, New Delhi and Beijing. This was announced on July 2 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov in an open interview with TASS First Deputy General Director Mikhail Gusman. The deputy minister called the fact that a week after the clashes on the line of actual control between India and China, the meeting of foreign ministers of all three countries was successful. India and China continue to contribute constructively to the development of BRICS and SCO formats. So these problems, which, of course, are in Indian-Chinese relations, do not interfere with the development of our cooperation with New Delhi and Beijing in a multilateral format, Morgulov said. He added that often there are questions about whether Russia should not mediate in resolving Sino-Indian differences. Such an intervention is impractical and can harm, the diplomat believes. According to the news agency, skirmishes between the Indian and Chinese military occurred on the night of June 16 in the Galvan River area in the union territory of Ladakh.
