South Korea's first military satellite finally entrenched in orbit
The final position in the geostationary orbit was taken by the first military satellite of South Korea Anasis-II, the country's defense procurement agency reports. The device is located at a distance of about 36 thousand km above the Earth. The Republic of Korea had thus become the tenth State in the world to have a communications satellite exclusively for military purposes. According to the news agency, Anasis-II was launched into space on July 20 by the American Falcon 9 launch vehicle, which, in turn, was launched from the launch site at Cape Canaveral in the United States.
