In Iraq, more than 2 thousand cases were detected per day COVID-19


Over the past day, 2,170 cases of coronavirus of a new type have been identified in Iraq, the press service of the Iraqi government reports. Thus, the total number of confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections in the country reached 69,612. At the same time, most of the infected are in the capital of Iraq, Baghdad. The Government of Iraq expressed concern at the rapid increase in the number of people infected. In this regard, the committee at the Iraqi Cabinet decided to apply a new strategy to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus. In particular, the Iraqi Ministry of Health called for a strict curfew for two weeks in the country.
