An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred off the coast of the Philippines

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 occurred on July 27 off the coast of the Philippines, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center. As specified, the epicenter of the tremors was 244 kilometers north of the city of Davao. The center of the earthquake lay at a depth of about 40 kilometers. Information about possible casualties and destruction has not yet been received. The threat of a tsunami in connection with the earthquake was not announced.
