A contract has been signed with tourists who will go to the ISS in 2021

The American company Space Adventures has signed a contract with two tourists who will go to the International Space Station in 2021. On July 5, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the Russian representative office of Space Adventures. In June, the Russian company RSC Energia (part of Roscosmos) signed an agreement with the American company Space Adventures to organize a commercial tourist flight to the ISS for two people. At the same time, a contract with space travelers themselves has not yet been concluded. The contract was signed for 2021 with two future crew members, Space Adventures said. Space Adventures is the only organizer of tourist flights to the ISS in the world. Between 2001 and 2009, this company organized eight commercial flights to the orbital station. In 2021, as with previous launches, the delivery of tourists to the ISS will be carried out by the Russian ship of the Soyuz series. The agreement with one of the tourists also provides for a spacewalk accompanied by a member of the ISS crew. None of the tourists who had visited the ISS before went overboard the station. As previously reported by the news agency, in July, Space Adventures said that the tourist's spacewalk with the ISS will last from 90 to 100 minutes.
