15 people died from counterfeit alcohol poisoning in Kazakhstan
At least fifteen people died in two regions of Kazakhstan from poisoning with counterfeit alcohol, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the state reports on July 4. From July 3 to 4, in the city of Arkalyk, Kostanay region, 13 people were taken to the intensive care unit of the hospital with a diagnosis of the toxic effects of ethanol. After 11 of them died. In addition, at the same time, 4 people died for similar reasons in the village of Zhana-Kiim, Zhaksynsky district, Akmola region. Currently, pre-trial investigations have been launched into the death of people. Police detained three suspects in the production and sale of artisanal spirits. Police officers also found a workshop in which alcohol was poured. Most of the products criminals managed to sell. According to the news agency, on June 17, law enforcement officers seized more than 1 thousand liters of low-quality alcohol in Turkey.
