The United States rejected the moratorium proposed by Moscow on the deployment of the INF Treaty in the EU

US President's Special Representative for Arms Control Marshall Billingsley rejected Russia's proposal for a moratorium on the deployment of medium-range and short-range missiles (INF) in EU countries. He announced this on June 24 while talking with reporters. I would not waste time thinking about a moratorium on the INF Treaty, since this will not happen, the official said. Recall that on February 2, 2019, the United States suspended its obligations under the agreement on the liquidation of the INF Treaty, justifying its decision with violations by Moscow. Russia has denied such accusations.
