Khabarovsk hopes for China to lower potato prices

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Khabarovsk Territory hopes for a harvest in China in order to reduce the price of potatoes. Now the most popular vegetable from local farms and gardens has soared in price by 20% or more. According to the news agency, in February 2020, immediately after the closure of the borders with China due to coronavirus, the FAS recorded a sharp increase in vegetable prices in the Khabarovsk Territory and other regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. The Ministry of Eastern Development promised to help the subjects of the federal district with the construction of vegetable storage facilities.
