Over the past day, 18 deaths from the consequences of COVID-19 disease were recorded in Italy. This was announced on June 23 by the press service of the country's civil protection department. This figure was the lowest in the country since the end of February. The most deaths from the consequences of coronavirus infection per day in Italy were recorded at the end of March, while the number of deaths was 969. 122 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Italy per day. Of these, 62 cases were confirmed in the Lombardy region in the north of the country, which became the epicenter of the outbreak of infection. In eight of the 20 regions of the country, not a single case of infection SARS-CoV-2 was recorded per day. The total number of fatalities among patients with detected coronavirus infection in Italy reached 34,675.
