Bryansk rescue workers monitor forest fires in the border Chernobyl
Monitoring of the situation related to forest fires in the zone of exclusion of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is organized by the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Bryansk region. The threat to the population is absent, reported on April 6 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. According to rescue workers, the radiation background in the region is normal. There is no threat of the spread of natural fires and combustion products from the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant to the territory of the Bryansk region. And according to the synoptics, meteorological conditions will contribute to the dispersion of harmful impurities in the ground layer of the atmosphere. There are no active centers of natural fires in the region either. In the Chernobyl exclusion zone, forest fires have not stopped since April 4. Beforehand, the cause of the dry grass fire was arson. 138 people and 32 pieces of equipment fight the fire.
